KEL holds
a large and prime agricultural land at
village Khurpia
in District Udham Singh Nagar in
Uttarakhand. The company has
moved from traditional crops
like Wheat, Paddy, Toria and
Sugarcane to high value crops
like Strawberry, Broccoli,
Capsicum, Lettuce & flowers like
Gladioli. Gerbera, Calla Lily,
Roses etc. The environment
consciousness has inspired us to
bring considerable area under
Organic farming and to establish
nurseries of Agro-forestry
plants i.e. Poplar and
Eucalyptus etc. & Green house
cultivation in 8000 Sq. meters.
Seed Multiplication of Sugarcane
seed through Tissue Culture and
Hybrid seed production and seed
processing plant are integral
parts of our farm for increasing
profitability.
At KEL we
endeavor to create better
quality crops through our
Research and Development
initiatives. R & D laboratories
for Tissue Culture, Bio-control
and Bio-fertilizers were
established in 1995 at our
Khurpia farm in 20000 Sq. meter
area.
Sustained efforts at KEL,
besides direct profit is for
making qualitative and
quantitative improvements in the
crop patterns of our growers and
therefore, their profitability
and prosperity along with growth
